Task
Aim for this project is to carry on a initial concept idea to next stage of developing and making 9 identical products with in 2weeks. Tools are limited to ones that are avaliable in the university workshop.

* CNC and 3D printer is not allowed to make the mould.

 

Given Concept
We have been given egg cup that can be cooked in the kettle for busy office workers’ busy morning. It had sillicon covered metal part that can maintain heat after taken out from the kettle. This heat keeps on cooking the egg while the user carries it on his or her way to work.

 

Developing
We found several problems that needed further development :
- It took three minute or more to cook an egg
- It is not safe to bring egg cup out from the hot kettle

Throughout multiple testing, we could replace kettle to   microwave. By using a microwave, cooking egg took less than 1 minute without needing extra metal heating process. Metal also had to be removed because it is dangerous to use metal inside the microwave.
